What is Hatrick?

One platform, two ways to play

Hatrick was built with a single conviction: the World Cup is the biggest sporting event on the planet, and watching it should be interactive. Not in the passive, refresh-the-feed sense — in the real, skin-in-the-game, argue-with-your-mates sense.

So we built two modes that share one account, one wallet, and one design system. You can switch between them mid-session without losing context.

Live Mode: follow the match as it happens

In Live Mode you get a 2D real-time view of every World Cup fixture, powered by the TxLINE data feed. Goals, cards, substitutions, and key passes appear on screen within milliseconds of the whistle.

Alongside the match view, you see a live market panel. You can predict the next goal scorer, place an over/under on total goals, or bet on a red card in the second half. Markets open when the referee blows the first whistle and settle automatically when TxLINE confirms the outcome.

Everything runs on Solana Devnet with play-money tokens — no real funds, no risk, full adrenaline.

Fantasy Mode: build your XI, then duel

Fantasy Mode is structured around the 1v1 duel. You assemble a squad of real World Cup players from our card collection. Each player's attribute scores — pace, passing, shooting, defending, goalkeeping — are recalculated after every confirmed match event. Score a hat-trick in real life? Your card gets an instant boost.

Once your squad is ready, you head to the Duelists directory, find an opponent, and send a challenge. When they accept, both squads enter the 2D arena. The engine simulates the match in real time, using your players' actual attribute scores to determine the outcome. The result is immediate, and your rating updates accordingly.

One profile, everything in sync

Your profile lives at the intersection of both modes. Your play-money balance flows from Live winnings into Fantasy packs. Your rating reflects both your prediction accuracy and your duel record. Your squad is always visible to potential rivals.

The idea is that Live Mode and Fantasy Mode feed each other. A strong Live streak gives you chips to buy better players. Better players give you a stronger squad for duels. Your duel record makes you a more credible challenger.

Built for the World Cup, designed for fans

Hatrick is not a generic sports betting product. Every design decision — from the TxLINE integration to the 2D arena engine — was made with one event in mind: the FIFA World Cup 2026. We track every group-stage fixture, every knockout match, every penalty shootout.

Player data, not player names, drives the product. Attribute scores are computed from real performance metrics so that the platform reflects what is actually happening on the pitch — not what pundits predicted before the tournament began.

What's next

Hatrick is a hackathon demo built in days, but the architecture is designed to scale. The TxLINE seam is a clean service boundary — swap the mock for a live feed and the whole platform lights up with real data. The Solana Devnet integration is a thin adapter — swap it for Mainnet and the play-money becomes real stakes.
